Since 2015, Front Porch has coordinated, implemented, facilitated, sponsored and cosponsored, the Front Porch Annual Christmas Gifts and Giveaways Event, held annually in December, and provide children and youth in need, with all new items of: clothing, shoes, toys, games, educational supplies, jewelry, stuffed animals, accessories, undergarments, sleepwear, school supplies, trinkets and keepsakes. These annual Christmas events have served approximately a total of 500 families, and over 800 children and youth, infant ages to 15 years old.
Gift and giveaway items are generally donated by retail and department stores. However, in most cases, the new donated items do not cover the expected number to be served. In instances where this occurs, cash donations and sponsorships are sought to purchase additional items.
